'I am inspired by the energy of the teams in India'
How would you describe your visit to India and what has been your India experience thus far (since this is not the first time you have visited).
Two things that have always happened to me on my trips to India: First, I am always inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of the teams here. It is your super power :) Second, the pace of improvement and change here is incredibly rapid – things are moving faster here than perhaps anywhere else, both within the company and outside of it.
You have witnessed Amazon India’s growth story ever since it launched in India in 2013. When you think of the India business what comes to mind?
You’re inventing many things on a regular basis because you need them specifically for India – but I can also tell you many of these are helping, or most certainly will in the future, Amazon around the world. Your impact is large.
The culture and Amazon’s leadership principles are really strong here – and you’ve added to it in an important way with the Cowboy mentality.

What is the one cool thing that India is doing/has launched which is unique according to you?
Hard to pick one, but I’m really impressed with Micron (the small size version of the shopping app).
And finally, have you have you had the time to see India as tourist? If yes, which place have you liked and what cuisine is have you developed a liking to.
I have not yet, really – it is something I look forward to doing. It gets a little difficult as when I get on this side of the world, my wife’s parents live in Dubai :) But I look forward to finding the time, as there are so many amazing places to visit and things to see.
