Introducing the all-new Echo family
Amazon today introduced its all-new line-up of Echo devices, featuring completely new designs, enhanced audio, and more powerful hardware.
New Echo devices announced today include:
- Echo Dot: Our most popular Echo device ever, with a new spherical design to produce crisp, full sound and powerful bass for ₹4,499.
- Echo Dot with clock: Our best-selling speaker with LED display, a new spherical design and now in an additional Blue colour for ₹5,499.
- Echo: The best of Echo and Echo Plus combined into a single device, with a new spherical design, Dolby stereo sound, and a built-in Zigbee hub to simplify smart home set-up for ₹9,999.
Amazon announces next-gen Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick Lite, and user experience
With more than 100 million devices sold globally, Fire TV customers are streaming billions of hours every month. Today, Amazon made Fire TV even better, with the next-generation Fire TV Stick, the all-new Fire TV Stick Lite, and a reimagined Fire TV experience that is more personal and customised.
The all-new Fire TV Stick features an enhanced 1.7 GHz quad-core processor that makes it 50% more powerful than the previous generation. The new Fire TV Stick delivers faster streaming in 1080p at 60fps with HDR compatibility.

Third Fulfilment Centre to come up in Gujarat; over 80K sellers to benefit
Amazon India today announced the launch of a new Fulfilment Centre (FC) in Ahmedabad; third in the city, ahead of the festive season. Spread over more than 2 lakh square feet area, the new FC will help sellers offer a wider selection within the region and neighbouring states. With this infrastructure expansion, Amazon.in will now offer storage capacity of more than 1.5 Million cubic feet across 3 fulfilment centres to its more than 80,000 sellers in Gujarat. Amazon recently launched a new sort centre and expanded the capacity of an existing sort centre to ensure faster and reliable deliveries for customer orders in Gujarat.

Now, a shopping experience in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu
In a major move to break the language barrier for online shopping and expand eCommerce access to the next 200 – 300 million customers, ahead of the festive season, Amazon is launching amazon.in shopping experience in four new Indian languages – Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. With this launch, Amazon.in customers can now discover great deals & discounts, read detailed product information, manage their account information, place and pay for their orders including bill payments, recharges, money transfers, track their orders and view order history in the language of their preference. Amazon customers can select their preferred language in a few simple steps across Android and iOS apps, mobile and desktop sites.

Amazon launches its first Fulfilment Centre in Bihar
Ahead of the festive season, Amazon India announced the launch of its first Fulfilment Centre (FC), in Bihar. With more than a lakh cubic feet of storage space, the new fulfilment center will be located in Patna and help better serve customers within the region and neighboring states. The new FC is a specialized for large appliances and furniture and will be instrumental in enabling sellers in Bihar to reach out to customers across the country, further boosting their market presence.

At the outset of India’s biggest festive season, we are happy to expand our operational presence in Bihar which will help boost small and medium businesses and create work opportunities for people in the state. First all-women delivery station in Gujarat
Strengthening its commitment towards increasing participation of women in the workforce, Amazon India today announced the launch of Gujarat’s first all-women delivery station, operated by a delivery service partner, in the town of Kadi. This is one of the several initiatives introduced by the company to create opportunities for women and enable their success in the logistics sector. In 2016, the company had launched the first all-women delivery station in India, with its partner in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Thousands of job opportunities as Amazon opens 2 new Fulfilment Centres in Telangana
Amazon India today announced the expansion of its fulfilment infrastructure in Telangana with 2 new Fulfilment Centres (FC) in Hyderabad. This expansion will help sellers offer a wider selection and enable faster deliveries of customer orders within the region and neighbouring states ahead of the upcoming festive season.

With this infrastructure, Amazon.in now offers storage capacity of more than 4.5 million cubic feet spread across 4 fulfilment centres to its more than 23,000 sellers in Telangana. Amazon India has also expanded an existing Sort Centre to offer overall sortation area of more than one lakh square feet, in Telangana.

'Ensuring continued customer and seller delight'
In preparation for the festive season, Amazon India has announced the expansion of its sort centre network. The 5 new sort centres will be launched in Vishakhapatnam, Farukhnagar, Bangalore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Along with the new centres, Amazon India will also expand 8 existing sort centres to increase overall sortation area to 2.2 million square feet, across 19 states.
